Ollantay Global S.A.C. is a formally authorized agency operating tourism services in Peru, with the goal of connecting the world with the sacred energy of the Apus, the Pachamama, and the Universe — turning tourism into an engine of social good, creating dignified jobs and delivering value in every experience, safely, responsibly, and to a high standard.
This document establishes the conditions under which bookings, payments, cancellations, personal data protection, and other reciprocal responsibilities between the agency and the customer are carried out. By confirming a booking, the customer declares having read, understood, and accepted these terms.

Customer communication: charges, cancellations, and refunds
Information is provided through:
- Publication on the website and tour sheets.
- Terms sent via WhatsApp, email, or link.
- Written confirmation upon completing the booking.
- Verbal explanation prior to payment if the customer is at the office.
The agency commits to informing the customer about:
- Exact amounts to be paid.
- Commission by payment method.
- Applicable taxes.
- Non-refundable deposits.
- Cancellation penalties.
- Weather conditions that may affect the service.
- Traveler rights and obligations.
Any payment made implies formal acceptance of these policies.
Force majeure
The agency assumes no responsibility for unforeseeable or unavoidably harmful events, such as:
- Strikes, protests, or road blockades.
- Extreme weather (heavy rain, landslides, snowfall, hail).
- Government closures of archaeological sites.
- Pandemics, epidemics, or health emergencies.
- Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, landslides).
- Social conflicts, riots, acts of vandalism.
In the event of force majeure, services may be modified, rescheduled, or canceled, always prioritizing passenger safety.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that the customer have insurance covering:
- Medical expenses for illness or accident.
- Helicopter or ambulance evacuation.
- Cancellations and postponements.
- Loss or damage of luggage.
- Accidents during trekking or outdoor activities.
Ollantay Global S.A.C. may request a copy or policy number for rapid assistance in emergencies.
Payments and billing policy
This section explains how payments work, the available methods, and the billing policy to ensure a transparent and secure experience.
5.1 International payments
- We accept PayPal and payment links.
- A mandatory 6% commission applies per transaction.
- The customer assumes conversion fees and charges from their bank or card.
5.2 Domestic payments (Peru)
- Yape, Plin, or bank transfer.
- Payments via link in soles also incur a 5% commission.
5.3 VAT / IGV (18%)
- Foreign tourists are exempt when presenting a passport.
- Peruvian residents pay mandatory VAT (IGV) as required by law.
Cancellation and refund policy
Conditions for canceling a booking, applicable deadlines, and refund options.
6.1 Tour packages within Peru
- 30% non-refundable deposit.
- No refunds for illness, plan changes, altitude sickness, flight delays, etc.
6.2 Machu Picchu tours
- 100% payment, non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Tickets are personal and cannot be modified under Peruvian law.
6.3 One-day tours
- 50% non-refundable deposit.
Refunds only apply to group tours according to the policy:
- 70% up to 10 days before.
- 50% up to 72 hours before.
- 0% after the deadline.
6.4 No-shows
If the passenger does not arrive at the meeting point, it is considered a no-show and no refund applies.
Cancellations due to force majeure (agency)
If Ollantay Global S.A.C. must cancel a tour due to extreme conditions:
- Machu Picchu: 30% refund.
- Full Day: 50% refund.
- If the cancellation occurs during the tour (for safety reasons), no refund applies.
Dietary requirements
We will try to accommodate allergies or restrictions whenever notified in advance. In remote areas, this is not always possible. Passengers with severe allergies must carry their essential medication.
Booking confirmation
After payment, you will receive:
- Complete tour information.
- Packing list.
- Acclimatization recommendations.
- Meeting points and schedules.
- Service policies.
Changes to terms
Ollantay Global S.A.C. may update these terms at any time. The version in effect will be the applicable one at the time of booking.
Responsible tourism best practices
11.1 Environment
- Do not leave waste on routes, towns, or protected areas.
- Use reusable bottles to reduce plastic.
- Respect wildlife and flora: do not touch, remove, or damage the ecosystem.
- Do not feed wild animals.
- Follow authorized routes and do not stray from trails.
- Reduce water and energy consumption at lodgings and public services.
11.2 Respect for cultural heritage
- Respect sacred spaces and rituals.
- Ask permission before taking photos of people.
- Do not alter traditions to obtain content.
- Support local craftsmanship by buying directly from artisans.
- Avoid offensive or disrespectful behavior, without discrimination.
11.3 Coexistence with communities
- Maintain respectful, friendly, and non-invasive behavior.
- Follow the guide's instructions during community visits.
- Do not offer gifts, money, or sweets to children.
11.4 Conduct and safety
- Follow the guide's instructions at all times.
- Report physical discomfort or symptoms of altitude sickness.
- Do not take part in activities under the influence of alcohol.
- Use appropriate equipment for the tour.
Before the trip, the traveler will receive destination rules from the tour guide, cultural recommendations, environmental tips, and reminders for a responsible visit.
